couldn't keep this to myself.

This video is just too perfect. too true. If you didn't grow up in Oregon, you probably won't understand. sorry.

(sorry for you not understanding, and also sorry for you not growing up in Oregon.)

"Alternative spirituality was taught to kindergartners in Oregon. It's not a thing."

"I feel like Oregonians probably catch more dreams per capita than anybody else.. this side of like a native american reservation."

I found this video on BuzzFeed.

everything in hypercolor.

so I started a blog in the spring of my freshman year of college, currently obsessed with... (I am currently in the summer before my senior year) because I was bored and unruly after my first crew (rowing..) season ended. I kept up this blog fairly well for the next two and a half years (except in July, for whatever reason, I'm a horrid July blogger) and it documented my life in college: my various obsessions (music, movies, people) as well as my experiences as a girl on a men's collegiate crew team and this past fall, my experiences as an American student studying abroad (in Grenoble, France). But alas, I somehow managed to forget the password to the email linked to that blog, so I can no longer access it (which is, just so typically me, in the words of Ms. Britney) and thus I can no longer post on it. Sooo now I'm launching this blog! I imagine it being a similar blog, but now the highlights will be me adjusting to living with guys (I moved in with seven guys on my team just last week!) and the dreaded anticipation of college graduation and moving into the "real world."

YIKES! I don't even want to start thinking about it! But I must, as I am already working on applying to grad programs (in psychology) and finding an internship!

But before we start all that, I'll give you a little run-down (via photos) of my weekend in Portland for the 4th:

City by da bay.

We were going to set off fireworks in the back yard..
then we realized what a fire hazard that was.

She's the only person who would pose for my
